GALATIA, Tavium. Vespasian, AD 69-79. Æ tetra-assarion (30 mm, 18,83 g). Laureate head right / Zeus seated left in front of shrine, holding thunderbolt and scepter; Eagle seated left on shrine behind Zevs. Well-preserved surfaces. Attracktive dark brown patina with brassy highlights. Probably among of the finest known specimens of this extremely rare issue. Only 7 specimens recorded in RPC.
